Our retreat Chef for the 2005 Dragon & Tiger retreat is Josep Soler
Josep Soler, centre of picture, is this years retreat Chef
I am very happy that Josep has agreed to join us from his home in Scotland. Josep is the resident chef at the Purelands retreat centre which forms part of Samye Ling Tibetan Centre in Scotland. Josep has provided us with fantastic vegitarian food for the past 6 years of retreats in Scotland. And now he joins us in France. Excellent!

What to expect at our July Retreat
Dragon & Tiger Chi Gung
The main topic of this years July retreat is the Dragon & Tiger, 7 Movement Chi Gung. Retreats are an ideal way to learn from scratch or to deepen an existing practice. At the 2001 Dragon and Tiger retreat in France many people found that they could not only feel their Chi, but to in some cases see it. I have been teaching retreats since 1999 and have taught many hundreds of people at varying levels of interest. As the years progress I increasingly find that major benefits are to be gained by blending meditation with the teaching to help practitioners with intention and awareness. My teaching style draws from both Eastern and Westerns modes of presentation. If you want to know more about my background then please checkout www.realtaoism.com in the, Our Approach section.
What is Dragon & Tiger Chi Gung?
Chi Gung is a generic umbrella term, under which many Chinese therapeutic exercise systems prevail. In China these arts encourage the co-ordination of mental awareness training with extremly well crafted, subtle and yet powerful movements. Dragon & Tiger is a low impact art that came into the public domain in the 1960's, when the cultural revolution was in full swing. It originated approximatey 1500 years ago at the Shaolin monastery. The system was kept within family lineages throughout the centuries as a superlative method to maintain health.
